PEC Large-scale Assessment 2023 schedule (Date sheet) for LSA conduct LSA (Large Scale Assessment) is a method to find out the learning outcomes of the students studying in grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.

It is implemented by the Punjab Examination Commission. The training for the implementation of LSA will be conducted by the government of Punjab’s school education department during the 2023 annual examination. This assessment is limited to schools from the government, private, and PEF sectors. 

In the large school assessment, students from grades 3 to 8 are assessed. while the class teacher of the selected school is also assessed. All the processes are done under the supervision of PEC. After the LSA assessment papers are marked and the report cards are prepared at the school level. After this assessment School-Based Assessment starts in all schools of District Punjab Pakistan.

What is PEC Large Scale Assessment:

Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) carries out a large-scale assessment of Pakistani students upon the completion of grades 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8. These examinations serve to measure the students’ knowledge and comprehension of the academic syllabus covering areas such as mathematics, science, English, and Urdu.

The results of these assessments are utilized to detect any fields in which the students require additional assistance, and also to keep an eye on the general effectiveness of the education system in Pakistan.

PEC Large Scale Assessment Training 2023:

The Punjab Examination Commission has conducted a comprehensive literacy examination. Students’ Numeracy and Science Abilities in Grades 2 to 8 in Punjab Punjab Examination Commission is going to conduct the the training in all districts of Punjab. This training will start from 15th November 2022.

This curriculum-based LSA training aimed to identify measures needed at the policy level, changes needed in curriculum and textbooks, and challenges related to teacher training, proficiency in assessing students’ learning, as well as school-level improvements needed to create a conducive learning environment for our children.

Importance:

According to the SED (School Education Department) Punjab Examination Commission has conducted a comprehensive literacy examination. Students’ Numeracy and Science Abilities in Grades 5 and 8 in Punjab in April 2023, as part of the Assessment Policy Framework implementation (APF).

This curriculum-based LSA aimed to identify measures needed at the policy level, changes needed in curriculum and textbooks, and challenges related to teacher training, proficiency in assessing students’ learning, as well as school-level improvements needed to create a conducive learning environment for children.
