BISE Lahore New Policy: Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Lahore has approved a new policy regarding unbundling of the scheme of studies. This policy will be implemented starting from the academic session 2023-24.
Under the new policy, candidates will be allowed to appear in any number of additional subjects along with their group of subjects already opted at SSC/HSSC level. Existing rules for appearing in additional subjects:
Candidates who have passed SSC/HSSC can appear in additional subjects in the same board. They must pass all the subjects in the same sitting and will not be allowed to improve their marks.
Candidates who want to appear in a subject with practical must take admission in an affiliated institution as a regular student. They must attend classes and perform practical in the laboratory. They must then appear in both papers of the subject in the next annual examination.
Approved rules for appearing in additional subjects:
Candidates can now appear in any number of additional subjects in the same board. They can avail the same number of attempts as regular candidates.
