BISE Lahore Revises Passing Criteria for Subjects in Matric & Intermediate annual examination 2024. In order to pass a subject, a candidate must now obtain at least 33% of the total marks allotted to the subject, provided that the candidate also obtains at least 33% marks in theory papers I and II. This revised policy will be implemented with immediate effect for both SSC & HSSC examinations results.
“Physics has 200 marks in total, with 170 marks for theory papers I and II and 30 marks for the practical paper. If a candidate obtains 66/200 (33%) in Physics (theory + practical), he/she will be declared pass provided that the candidate has also obtained at least 56/170 (33%) in theory papers alone.
If the candidate obtains less than 66/200 (33%) aggregate marks or less than 56/170 (33%) marks in theory alone, he/she may reappear in the particular paper only (I or II) where marks are less than 28 or in practical only if marks are less than 10.”
